La 62esima edizione dei Grammy Awards si è tenuta nella notte del 26 gennaio 2020 presso lo Staples Center di Los Angeles. La cerimonia è stata condotta dalla cantante Alicia Keys e ha visto trionfare Lizzo e Billie Eilish.

Serata dedicata a Kobe Bryant

Nel palazzetto dei Lakers la serata è cominciata con un minuto di silenzio per ricordare il campione di basket morto insieme alla figlia Gianna (13 anni) a seguito dello schianto del suo elicottero in California. Fuori dell’arena, dove si è svolta la cerimonia, si sono radunati centinaia di fan che hanno voluto rendergli omaggio con cartelloni e foto. La madrina della serata, Alicia Keys ha aperto così la serata: “Eccoci nella notte più importante della musica per celebrare gli artisti che hanno dato il meglio, ma per essere onesti stiamo tutti provando una grande amarezza”.
